Class Descriptions
The Stretch Children’s Fitness Program has been developed by Pediatric Therapists who specialize in developmental movement. This program is a culmination of nearly two decades of work with children as well as studying with the countries leaders in children’s yoga and dance education.
Stretch Programs are designed to bring a creative and fun yoga inspired fitness class to children of all abilities in a non-competitive environment. We encourage all children to bring to their unique spirit and light to our classes. Stretch Children’s Fitness incorporates creative and developmentally appropriate yoga postures, with a multi-sensory approach to exercise and play!
Children learn to connect their minds, bodies, and hearts through a yoga inspired practice designed for their developmental needs. Our program will take children on imaginative adventures, teach breathing techniques, and help them to find their inner calm!
Children of all abilities are welcome!
Classes Offered
Stretch EXTREME
This group for boys and girls ages 5 to 10 combines parkour and therapeutic activities to expend “extra” energy, build self-esteem, improve direction following skills, and increase goal-setting. Perfect for kids with anxiety, high energy, and kids looking to improve their self esteem. Contact Ms. Nicole to assess if this group is appropriate for your child.
Family Yoga
Come Stretch Together! This one-hour yoga class is designed for the whole family. Learn challenging partner poses, stretch, play and laugh! Class will end with snuggle time and relaxation. Recommended for families of all
Teen Yoga
Come Stretch with Us! This one-hour yoga class is designed for teens age 13-17. High energy program for teens, athletes and dancers! Recommended for teens of all abilities
Toddler Stretch
Let’s Stretch Together – Mommy / Daddy and Me Yoga! Come Stretch, Move, and Shake! Join us for a fun filled 45 minute yoga inspired movement class designed for toddlers of all abilities. Children and caregivers participate in developmentally appropriate activities to build expressive and receptive language, develop strength and coordination, and learn strategies for self-regulation and relaxation. Families embark on a magical adventure using a motor-based, multi-sensory approach to learning and playing. Activities include children’s yoga poses to improve strength, coordination, balance and flexibility. Language skills will be facilitated by using songs, pictures, objects, and basic sign language. The children participate in sensory activities and enjoy some relaxation time and snuggles with their caregiver. Come stretch, laugh, and play together!
Recommended for children of all abilities ages 1-3 years old
T.H.R.I.V.E.
(Tools for Hope, Resilience, Insight, Vitality and Empowerment)
This group will focus on empowering adolescent girls to become their best selves through the use of therapeutic talk, art and music. This group will assist girls in combating anxiety and worry, building positive relationships and managing everyday stress. Facilitated by: Nicole Rocco-Lapinski, LCSW
Recommended for girls ages 12-15 yrs old
Stretch Kids Jr.
Bend, Bounce & Bop in this high energy 45 minute class designed specifically for the motor, cognitive and sensory needs of young children. Children stretch and strengthen their bodies through yoga postures and motor activities, build social skills through interactive yoga games, and participate in sensory activities with arts and crafts. Stretch Kids Jr. helps improves focus and attention by incorporating self-regulation strategies, and breathing techniques into developmentally appropriate yoga games. Each class ends with calming dream spray and relaxation time!
Recommended for Children ages 4-6 years old, children of all abilities are welcome
Brave & Bold Boys
A therapeutic group that incorporates elements of parkour for boys ages 5-10 focused on developing social skills including listening skills, initiating and maintaining conversation, sharing, perspective taking, understanding social skills, and developing empathy. This group is intended for boys who struggle with initiating and maintaining friendships, as well as boys with Anxiety, ASD and ADHD diagnoses. Contact Ms. Nicole to assess if this group is appropriate for your child.
Recommended for boys ages 5-10 years, children of all abilities are welcome (Age requirements flexible, call to discuss individual concerns)
Stretch Kids
Stretch Kids is designed to bring a creative fitness and yoga inspired program to children of all abilities in a non-competitive environment. This fun filled 45 minute class will increase strength, flexibility and build self-confidence and self-esteem. Children stretch and strengthen their bodies through yoga inspired postures and motor activities, build social skills through interactive games, and participate in sensory based play. The Stretch Kids Program helps improve focus and attention by incorporating self-regulation strategies, and breathing techniques into developmentally appropriate motor activities. Each class ends with relaxation time that will help children to find their inner calm!
Recommended for Children ages 4-7 years, children of all abilities are welcome
Girl Power Stretch - Tween & Teen
Did you know you have all sorts of superpowers? Unleash the powers of kindness, joy, happiness, creativity and friendship in this high energy one hour class. Girls build strength, increase flexibility, and improve balance and coordination in a non-competitive environment. We encourage each girl to bring their unique spirit and light to Girl Power. We practice challenging yoga inspired poses, partner poses, and flowing asanas while building friendships and self-confidence. Each class ends with relaxation to take time to thank our brains, our bodies, and our hearts for being so awesome! Girl Power Journals are created and incorporated into the classes to journal about all the Superpowers we possess and how to access those powers when we need them!
Recommended for girls ages 11 years and up
Girl Power Jr. Stretch
Girl Power Stretch for our younger girls!
Recommended for ages 7 - 11 years old
Therapeutic Yoga
Individualized for girls and boys with special needs. Bring braces, walkers, wheelchairs or adaptive equipment to stretch! In addition to our yoga inspired poses, stretching and strengthening activities, Therapeutic Yoga focuses on building positive self-image, self-confidence and self-esteem.

Dynamic Dancers
Do you love to dance? Join us for this therapeutic dance class for children of all abilities! We use different styles of movement and dance to build strength, coordination, flexibility, improve body image, and build self-esteem. Students learn a variety of styles of dance and movement including; ballet, jazz, and hip hop to stretch and strength their bodies. Please bring a water bottle and any adaptive/assistive equipment you may use. Come to dance, make new friends, and find your inner STAR!

Tumble and Stretch
Inclusive Gymnastic Program at Stretch! Children of all abilities are welcome to tumble, stretch, learn acro skills and dance elements! Taught by Ms. Jess, Gymnastic Coach and Occupational Therapist
Recommended for ages 3 - 7yrs and 8 yrs and up.
