Feeding Therapy
Our approach to feeding therapy is based in trauma-informed therapy strategies and the Sequential-Oral-Sensory (SOS) model. This involves a child-led model where all pressure and forceful tactics are removed, so children feel empowered and supported to try new foods and increase their food intake/volume.
These approaches combine to best support:
Picky/selective eaters (those who refuse entire food groups or who eat <20 foods consistently)
Anxious eaters
Oral motor delays/medical complexity (difficulty chewing or moving food safely in mouth)
Difficulty transitioning onto solid foods
